Months of Incremental Data

Client

Finnish Design Shop is the largest online store focused on Nordic design, offering furniture, lighting, and home accessories from leading Scandinavian brands to customers worldwide.

Objective

ChatGPT advertising is a new channel, and nobody yet knew how it compares to established channels. We wanted to find out with Finnish Design Shop as one of the first advertisers. The metric was incremental sales per euro spent. It shows how much sales the advertising brings that would not have happened without it. Clicks or platform-reported ROAS do not show that.

Solution

• We launched ChatGPT advertising in the US. So far it has been a single traffic campaign aimed at cold audiences. Conversion and feed campaigns are still ahead. • We evaluated results using incremental sales from Sellforte MMM. Every channel was measured the same way: incremental sales per euro spent. • We compared ChatGPT Ads to Meta and Google prospecting, because the ChatGPT campaign targets cold, top-funnel audiences.
